Albert Wu, MD, PhD is one of the founding editors and Board Members of JNV. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University Medical Center. He graduated with a B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University, and had significant interest in the humanities and expository writing. He completed his medical training at the University of Washington, and obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dr. Wu then completed ophthalmology residency at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City. Subsequently, he finished a two-year fellowship at the University of Toronto in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Wu is dedicated to medical education and his research focuses on regenerative medicine and stem cell applications to oculofacial surgery.
